GLEN ARBOR BED & BREAKFAST
PRIVACY & ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENTS
Physical Accessibility Statement
Due to the historic nature of our 1872 main property, cottages constructed in the 1930s and 40s, and no footprint modifications subsequent to the enactment of ADA, we regret that the Glen Arbor Bed & Breakfast and Cottages does not offer fully accessible guest rooms per Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), 1991 Title III or Michigan Act 220 of 1976.
We do, however, have 1st floor rooms and one cottage with accommodations that may be suitable to guests with limited mobility and other disabilities. This includes two or three step access to the main building and the one cottage possible with a walker or cane, walk-in showers with grab bars in all bathrooms, doorways no less than 30”, complimentary wireless high speed Internet access, and street parking with an ADA accessible sidewalk at the corner in front of the property. The features of each room are described on the ACCOMMODATIONS page and on our Booking Engine by Think Reservations.
Further, the property is smoke-free, pet-free (with the exception of specifically-trained service dogs), and we can, within reason, adjust breakfasts for guests with allergies and food concerns.
Please contact the innkeeper at 231.334.6789, for any inquiries about suitable accommodations.
WEBSITE ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENTS
The Glen Arbor Bed & Breakfast and Cottages is committed to making our website accessible to prospective guests and other visitors with disabilities.
The website is designed to be accessible for impaired users to see, navigate, interact and understand the content provided as per the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 Level AA (WCAG 2.0 AA)
We have tested the functionality of this website with a achecker.ca tool and the Google Chrome Accessibility Audit tool. We have also tested keyboard only functionality so the people who used screen readers or cannot use a mouse are able to navigate through the website pages efficiently. Furthermore, we will continue to make every effort to meet evolving accessibility standards.
Currently, our booking engine partner, Think Reservations, is working toward, but has not yet completely met, AA standards of WCAG 2.0. This is something we will continue to address with our booking engine partner, so that it, too, will be accessible to people with disabilities. If you find you are having difficulty determining availability or booking an accommodation via our online system, please contact us at the links below and we will be happy to assist you directly.
As we continue to improve our website functionality, we appreciate your concern and suggestions. We welcome impaired users to share accessibility issues you may find.

Your IP or “Internet Protocol” address and other site usage data is used to gather broad demographic information. We use IP addresses to administer our site, analyze trends, track users’ movements, gather broad demographic information for aggregate use in order for us to improve the site, and deliver a better product.
On occasion, we may feature a story about a guest on our Facebook/Instagram pages. This may involve a photograph and/or naming the guest. We do not publish this information without the express prior permission of the guest.
We do not share any of this information with 3rd parties.
The Glen Arbor Bed & Breakfast and Cottages may amend this Privacy Statement from time to time in order to meet changes in the regulatory environment, strategic marketing partners, and service providers.
LIMIT TO YOUR PRIVACY
Further, the Glen Arbor Bed & Breakfast and Cottages may disclose your personally identifiable information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary or desirable to conform to the requirements of the law or comply with government orders, court orders, or legal process served on this business.
